St. Patrick's Division Volunteer Opportunities

St. Patrick's AOH Division # 1 participates locally in Chicago in a range of volunteer opportunities over the course of the year.

The National Ancient Order of Hibernians also runs several Hibernian Charitable Funds including the Hibernian Hunger Project, Project St. Patrick, which assists those studying to become Priests, and the AOH Scholarship Fund. Information on these programs can be found at www.hiberniancharity.org.


Volunteer Opportunities in Chicago

  1. St. Vincent de Paul, Sheffield and Webster, Saturday mornings 8 am - 10 am. We can assist them making sandwiches - they make 800 sandwiches per week
  2. St. Vincent de Paul, Sheffield and Webster, during the week. Tuesday - Saturday 8 am - 10:30 am. They need assistance giving out breakfast of a sandwich, coffee and soup - they serve approximately 150 people per day.
  3. Food Pantry, St. Vincent de Paul, Sheffield and Webster, Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am - 12 Noon. They need assistance filling shopping bags for groceries for people which are then given out.
  4. Christmas Gift Program - St. Vinent de Paul and the Daughters of Charity are collecting gifts for the children which are due by December 7 and December 14 at St. Vincents - tags will be given out with gift suggestions.
  5. We can also collect canned food for the Food Pantry at St. Vincent de Paul at Sheffield and Webster.
